4-H In The Classroom

Last modified 2007-11-08 10:59

Dear Teachers:

Are you looking for new and exciting
educational programs
to share with your students?

The Ottawa County 4-H School Enrichment Program may be just what you are looking for. We offer a variety of educational programs to enhance your classroom curriculum.

4-H is a voluntary, educational program designed to meet the needs and interests of boys and girls ages 5-19 years old. This is accomplished through the learning experiences which will help them grow and develop to their fullest potential.

The Ottawa County 4-H School Enrichment Program is offering 14 different classroom experiences for grades K-5. This is an opportunity to enhance the student’s classroom experience through low-cost, hands-on materials. Staff from the Ottawa County 4-H Program is available to help with the programs.

Students are enrolled as 4-H members and are entitled to all the benefits of membership for one year. Two of these benefits include the opportunity to attend 4-H Camp and a fair pass for the 2008 Ottawa County Fair!

If you are interested in any of the programs listed, please fill out the form in the brochure that you can download below and return it to the Ottawa County Extension Office. We are now required to charge an annual fee of $15.00 for each classroom that enjoys school enrichment programming. This fee must be paid upon the first session.

The form must be returned to guarantee enrollment—we cannot accept phone calls as enrollment. The schedule fills up fast, so send in your choices early!

If you have any questions, please call me at 419-898-3631 or 800-322-4159.

All program requests will be confirmed with a letter. All projects except “The Incredible Egg” are available anytime during the school year. “The Incredible Egg is only available March-June.

If you are interested in "hands on" programming for your class, we have many subjects to offer. Click on the link below to view the 2007-2008 school enrichment brochure.
