Wood County is proud to be a part of 4-H CARTEENS. This program is a traffic safety program for first-time juvenile traffic offenders. In partnership with the Wood County Juvenile Court, the Wood County Sheriff's Department, State Farm Insurance and the Wood County 4-H Committee. A two-hour traffic safety education program is facilitated by 4-H older youth every-other month. The 4-H CARTEENS members lead group-learning activities focused on traffic safety and provide overall coordination of the session.

4-H CARTEENS is a program designed and operated by the collaborative partners and volunteers who are members in the Wood County 4-H Program. The goal of 4-H CARTEENS is to provide information concerning driving safety in a format designed by their peers.
