Katie Schlagheck started in June 2014 as the Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Educator in a split position with Sandusky County and Ottawa County. She was born and raised in a small town in Washington State. Katie graduated from Washington State University with a B.A. in Human Development and graduated from Central Michigan University with a M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies.
Family and Consumer Science at Ohio State Extension focuses on developing healthy people, with healthy relationships, and healthy finances. Katie is always on the lookout for new partnerships and collaborations in order to strengthen programming in the community in these areas.
