Biography:

A graduate of Margaretta High School, Rebecca attended Eastern Michigan University, Rebecca studied Business, Communications, and Dance, and spent nearly 15 years running her own dance studio where she helped to empower young people to grow in confidence, creativity and leadership.

4-H has always been a huge part of her life. She was a member of Erie County 4-H for 10 years, serving as an officer on her Jr. Fairboard and as a Camp Counselor. She was also the Erie Co. Fair Queen, the Ohio County and Independent Fair Queen and the last ever Ohio State Fair Queen.

Since then, she’s been a dedicated 4-H volunteer, currently serving as a Cloverbud advisor in Huron County, where all three of her children have been actively involved in the program. She deeply believes in the impact of 4-H and is passionate about helping shape the next generation of leaders through hands-on learning, service, and mentorship.

Rebecca comes to us from the Erie County OSU Extension office where for over two years she has worked as a SNAP-Ed Program Assistant, teaching nutrition and wellness to participants across the community. Her experience in education, outreach, and program delivery has prepared her perfectly to join our 4-H team here in Ottawa County.

Rebecca lives in Norwalk with her husband, Erik, a Major in the U.S. Army who is currently overseas serving his fifth deployment. They are proud parents to Madilyn, a senior at THE Ohio State University; Isabella, a 2025 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul; and JP, a junior at Norwalk High.

Rebecca is thrilled to be joining the Ottawa County 4-H family and can’t wait to connect with local youth, families, and volunteers to continue growing and serving this incredible program!
