Biography:

Tammy joined the Ohio State University Ottawa County Extension in March 2020 as a SNAP-Ed Program Assistant. She has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Terra State Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ashland University. She has also completed some graduate work at The University of Dayton. Tammy has been in the field of education for over 20 years with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. She has worked in head start programs as both a classroom and home-based teacher. Most recently, as lead preschool teacher, she helped start and implement the preschool program at St. Boniface Preschool in Oak Harbor.

Tammy is an Ottawa County native, growing up in Oak Harbor. She currently resides in Sandusky County with her husband, Matt and two children, Allison and Breanna. She is a 4-H volunteer and is actively involved in the PTO at her daughter’s school. She enjoys Ohio State Football, NHRA Drag Racing, and spending time at her parent’s lake house on Catawba Island. Her greatest joy, though, is being involved in her children’s activities like sports, theater, and helping with their 4-H projects, including raising pigs on their family farm. Tammy is excited to help Ottawa County residents of all ages learn about health and nutrition!
